Privacy at Ground Floor Comics

Last updated October 6, 2026. This notice describes how Ground Floor Comics, operated by Josh Brown, handles information when you browse, sign in, save books, or request updates.

Accounts and reading lists

Browsing does not require an account. Supabase handles email sign-in and, when enabled, Google sign-in. Authentication uses your email address, account identifier, and information supplied by your chosen sign-in provider. We use that identity to keep your saved books, reading status, finish dates, optional reactions, ownership marks, and saved recommendation reasons associated with your account. Your reading list and reading-year summary are private. We use positively rated finished books to suggest further reading, and can hide books already in your tracker from discovery. You can change your reaction, clear a finish date, or remove a book.

Sign-in sessions are stored in your browser. Resend delivers automated sign-in emails. Signing in does not subscribe you to email updates.

Updates and correspondence

If you request email updates, we store your email address, signup source, and signup time. You can ask to leave the list at any time by emailing josh@groundfloorcomics.com. Contact messages are handled through Zoho Mail. We use information you send to answer your request.

Usage information and browser storage

The site uses Google Analytics and its own usage events to understand searches, shelf views, book opens, skips, saves, and feedback. Events can include a session identifier, book and shelf identifiers, search text, screen size, timestamps, and information you submit in feedback. Avoid putting private information in search or feedback fields.

Browser storage supports sign-in, session identification, and device-local discovery rotation. We also keep a limited record in this browser of books offered in recommendation previews so repeat visits can favor other titles. This discovery record is not synced to your account or other devices; clearing site storage resets it. Hosting and service providers may process technical request information such as IP addresses. Google Analytics may use cookies and device identifiers.

Service providers

Services involved in operating the site include OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and application storage, Supabase for authentication, Resend for sign-in email, Zoho for correspondence, and Google for analytics and optional sign-in. Broader catalog searches may send search terms to external book catalogs. Their processing is also subject to their own privacy policies.

Retention and your choices

Saved books remain until you remove them or request deletion. Signup and feedback records are retained for their stated purposes until removed; we have not yet implemented automatic deletion schedules for all usage records. You can browse without signing in, remove saved books, clear browser storage, or request access, correction, account deletion, or removal from updates by contacting josh@groundfloorcomics.com. We may need to verify the request comes from you.
