A closer look · Our reading of the work
In Uzumaki, notice how a simple shape becomes harder and harder to escape. Ito returns to the spiral through bodies, landscapes and ordinary objects, building a visual logic that becomes its own trap. His precise black-and-white drawing makes the impossible feel inspectable, inviting you to look closely even when you want to turn away.
