What to look for
Everything Dead & Dying changes the usual zombie-story allegiance. Brombal asks you to see the undead through Jack’s attachment to his husband, daughter and neighbors. Pay attention to the familiar rituals he refuses to give up. They make the arrival of other survivors feel threatening in a different way, because a sensible act of survival could destroy what Jack still calls a family.
