A closer look · Our reading of the work
What to look for
Morazzo’s clean lines make the strange events of Ice Cream Man unusually easy to inspect. Look at the small changes in a face during an ordinary conversation, then at the same precision applied to something impossible. The drawing does not dissolve into chaos when the horror arrives. Its clarity is part of what makes the experience so uncomfortable.
