What to look for
The muted palette in Gideon Falls gives the eye a temporary place to rest. When Stewart replaces that restraint with red, the disruption feels physical. Compare an ordinary setting with a moment when the page fractures: color helps tell you that the rules have changed before you can fully understand the image. Its force depends on the quieter pages around it.
