What to look for
In Wytches, Hollingsworth’s scattered color crosses the boundaries between panels and scenes. A swimming pool and the forest can feel contaminated by the same unease. Look at how the bright spatters interrupt large areas of blue: the page resists becoming restful even when its subject should be familiar. This is color acting on the reading experience, not simply filling shapes.
